Piano Problems

Ok- so a few weeks ago we were able to find a piano off of craigslist. So I had Geoff and a couple of our guy friends go and pick it up. Well- in the begining it sounded as though it would be pretty easy. The morning they were going to go and get it the lady calls me and lets me know the year of the piano- 1905- and that it was in the basement of her house. So- that being said- we decided to still go and get it. Geoff with 3 other guys go to pick it up. They get to the lady's house in about 20 minutes. So I was thinking, "this is going to be a pretty quick trip". 3 HOURS later Geoff FINALLY calls me and says that they are on their way home. Come to find out that the piano is cast iron inside and it BARELY made it up the stairs in this lady's house. Yes- that is right- these poor guys were lifting this piano up the stairs for 3 hours. They were so pooped when they got to my house that they just left it in the garage.

A few days later, the boys came back over to move it into the house. Pretty easy right?! Especially since we had measured and knew that it would fit. Well- once again- an hour and a half later the paino was FINALLY in our house. AFTER my house and the front of the piano were destroyed in the process. (We had to remove the front door, unlatch the screen door, take off the baseboards, dent in the corners of my walls and totally peal the wood off of the front of the piano.)

Yea for us and the new piano!!!

It is pretty and looks really good and we really enjoy playing it- however- when we sell this house- the piano stays with it!!!!!

This is the front of the piano.

Picnic

Today Macie and I went down to Geoff's school to have lunch with him. They have this really nice fountain and lake area with ducks that we go to. Well today- the wind was blowing a little bit, so on one side of the fountain there was a rather large puddle of water. Naturally, Macie was drawn to this puddle of water. So, after walking by it a couple of times she decided to take a "swim". By the time we got to her it was to late and she was already soaked. So we just let her play in it. She LOVED it. The whole time she was rolling around and falling and just loving life all the while exclaiming "mom- I'm swimmin' ". Way to cute and funny!!

Prego Pic

OK- Here it is. The one and only Prego pic you will ever get out of me. And the only reason you are getting it is because I have had many requests from people back home wondering what I look like. So here it is. I am 6 months along and this is what I look like. Are you happy???!!!! :)

By the way- I hate prego pics!!! So enjoy this one!!

My dentist hubby

So on Friday I was able to go and get my teeth cleaned by my wonderful husband. He did a GREAT job!! Best cleaning that I have ever had. Seriously. Anyways- here are a few pics of him looking good in his little cubicle and dental attire.

Geoff's Birthday

Happy Birthday Geoff!!!

Monday was Geoff's birthday. He turned the big ole 25. We didn't really do anything special. He even cooked his own birthday dinner. Pretty lame I know. (We grilled hamburgers). We celebrated that evening with just our family and then yesterday we had a bunch of friends over for cake and ice cream.

Here are a few pics of Macie helping me decorate the cake, and then eating some of the frosting. (I know it looks like I am squirting frosting into her mouth- but I am not- she is eating it off of the outside of the tube because she stuck it straight into the cake.) There are also some pics of Geoff blowing out the candles.

Making Cookies

I was making cookies the other day and Macie really wanted to help. So we pulled up a chair and she started right in with pouring in the brown sugar. She then ate some cookie dough. Then she helped me scoop the dough out onto the cookie sheets. What a big helper!!! She loved it! She thought that she was such a big girl!! To cute!!

Spring Break

Geoff's spring break was this past week. It was so nice to have him home everyday. Macie is becomming quite the daddy's girl so it was nice to have him around when she cries for him.
We were able to get all new windows on our house this week- so we had to be out of the house the whole week. It was a pain, but luckily we have some good friends who were nice enough to let us stay at their house while they were out of town. The house looks great and you can already tell a difference in the heat. It is sooooo nice.
On Wednesday we went to an indoor waterpark that is about an hour away and spent the night there. It was so fun!!! Macie LOVED it!!! She went crazy in the water. She has NO fear. She was going down the waterslides, running under huge buckets of water that pour down on top of you and keeping us really busy trying to keep track of her. She was everywhere. It was so much fun!! Everytime we had to leave the waterpark she would just throw fits. She is still talking about swimming in the water. Then at night they would do a story time where they had a tree with characters that would come to life. So cool! It was a ton of fun, especially because we were able to go with some good friends and hang out and have a good time.
These are just a few pictures of us at the waterpark.
