quotes of the day

A few things that Macie has said today that have shocked me:
While standing on her rocking chair she looks at me and says "be careful, this is dangerous"
All I could do was laugh- it was too funny hearing her say dangerous!
And then While eating lunch she takes a bite of her food and says" mmmmm, this is belicious!" the best part about this is that she basically has the same thing for lunch everyday and this day was no different. Also- really funny to hear her try and say delicious.

4:00 AM

Last night Addie woke up at 4:00 AM. So- I get up to feed her. (When I feed Addie I turn on the hallway light and it stays on the whole time I feed her so I can see.) So, as I am feeding her I hear "mommy- I can't find my blankie!" at this point I am thinking- "you have got to be kidding me- it is 4:00 AM!!!!!" Then I think- "oh- I have got to find some other way to feed her where I don't have to turn the hall light on!" Then I think- "maybe she was just talking in her sleep!" No such luck! I still have about 10 minutes until I am done feeding Addie and this is what I am hearing on and off through the feeding- "mommy- I wake up!, mommy, Macie awake!" This was repeated several times. And it was not in a quiet voice either. Well- I finally finish feeding Addie and go into Macie's room. I open her door and she is sitting up just waiting for me. Just when I didn't think that it could get any worse- I go to tuck her in and she is stinky. So I ask her- "are you poopy?" Her response- "yep!" (This is where I really thought- "are you kidding me!!!! You have not pooped in your diaper at night since you were like 3 months old!!!") So, as I am changing her she starts to laugh.
I then say- "Macie it is not time to play it is time to go to sleep"
Macie: "No mommy- I being silly!"
She continues to laugh and keeps telling me that she is being silly! I get done changing her and tuck her into bed and tell her to go to sleep and she says- ok! And that is that last that I heard from her. WOW! I thought that I was in for it and she was never going to go back to sleep!!

Girls

Macie and Addelyn are getting so big and continue to amaze me everyday with the things that they do.
Addie is now 4 months old. She is smiling a ton and has actually turned into a mostly happy baby. It is great! She now weighs 10 lbs. 13 oz. She is still only in the 5th percentile but she is growing. She doesn't roll over yet (or even try to), but she is starting to actually kind of play with toys.
Macie is getting more funny everyday. I love the stage that she is in right now (most of the time). Kids just say the funniest things. As of today- Addie is now Addelyn, everytime she sees her she says- "oh, she is sooo cute" She is always trying to give Addie toys and food and anything that will make her happy and stop crying.
She loves to talk on her play cell phone. She goes around the house and says things like "uh huh, oh really, you comin' over to play", or she will just start laughing and act like something really funny was said.
She is speaking in great sentences these days saying things like: "I have to wash my face cause it is dirty." She loves to sing and is actually pretty good at it. If I tell her to do something and she doesn't want to she will yell at the top of her lungs "help me daddy!" and will repeat this over and over and over. (Not so good when this happens in a store!)
The other night after tackling Geoff, she said "booyah!" Way funny! (She learned this from Geoff, not me!) Yesterday I was holding her and she looks at me and says- "mom, find me" I then had to proceed to "try" and find her as if I didn't know where she was. Weird!

SNOW!!!

We finally got our first snow last night. So today Macie and I went out to play. We decided after making some snow balls and throwing them that we should make a snowman. So here is our very pitiful snowman. Macie had a blast and kept trying to stand on it as we were making it, then when it was finished she kept hugging it and saying how cute it was. I am afraid that all I will be hearing all winter long is "let's go play in the snow!!!" She just loves it and can't get enough- she even wanted to have her snack outside in the snow. I finally was able to convince her that she was cold and we needed to go inside to have a snack.

Joyschool

A few friends and I decided to start a joy school group for our kids. Macie loves it! She asks almost everyday if it is a school day. Here she is on her first day of school. She was so excited to wear her backpack and be like dad. She looks sooo cute!

sugar cookies

We decided on Halloween to make some sugar cookies. They were oh so yummy and alot of fun to make. Macie helped me make the dough, roll the dough out, and cut out some shapes. Then I cooked them while she took her nap. When Geoff got home we decorated them with frosting and sprinkles. This is Macie helping me roll out the dough. There was flour everywhere!!!! But she had so much fun the mess was all worth it!
These two pictures are for my family and those who know us really well. If you notice Macie's tongue in these two pictures-this happens anytime she is concentrating or working hard on something. Totally a Bradley trait!

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween everyone!!! This year was alot more fun than last year- mostly because Macie understood what was going on! She was so excited when I told her that it was Halloween. She says "yeah- trick or treating!!!" To bad she knew- I was hoping to skip out on it!!
It was such a beautiful day, nice and warm. We were able to go without jackets and gloves- which was so nice considering that all week it had been freezing and hailing! She did great trick or treating except when kids with scary masks came along and then she'd say "daddy, I scared, hold me". Other than that- she really enjoyed it. We got home and the first thing she did was dump out her whole pumpkin so she check out all of the loot. Too funny!
This is before we left- she was saying "buzz, buzz" it was the only way we could get her to look at the camera.

Everytime we tried to take a picture of her, she would turn the other way and say "don't take a picture of me!" So all of the pictures are of her back!

Checkin' out the loot!

I think that this face says it all!!

We also had a ward party last week. It was fun. Macie was scared of a couple of the costumes, so she had to be held almost the whole time. This is her doing the mini golf game. Geoff and I also dressed up for this one. I was a football player (lame, i know, but we came up with it about 5 min. before we left!) Geoff was Rocky Balboa ( people even asked us if he had a real black eye!)Macie was her bumblebee, and Addie just had a halloween outfit and hairbow.
