Flubber

Last week, the girls and I made some flubber. I found this online and thought that they would love it. Macie loved it. She played with it for a few days in a row and then I threw it away because she got it on her shirt and ruined it. But she loved it.

Addie did not really like it. She played with it for a few minutes and then was done. She didn't like the way it felt on her hands.

The girls checking out the reaction of when all of the ingredients combine. You have to play with it for a minute before it turns into this:It really was a lot of fun. We will be making it again, only this time a little more thick so it can't get into her clothes and ruin them. Here she is so proud that she spelled her name with this stuff.

School Happenings

For school 2 weeks ago, Macie had to do a project. It was for the 100th day of school. We decided on doing a box with 100 lights in the shape of the number 100. Here she is with her project. The same week that Macie had her project, Addie was the Star Student for the week in her class. We got to make a poster all about Addie that she got to take to school and show the class. Here she is with her poster. She decorated it and put all of the pictures on it all by herself. She was so proud and excited about being the star student.

Camden

I cannot believe that this little guy is 2 months old!!! How time flies. He is my best baby so far, that being said, I don't have happy babies, so he is still pretty fussy. However I am able to figure his fussiness out and calm him down, which is nice. He is sleeping pretty well at night only waking up around 3 and 6:30. We are starting to get a little bit of a schedule, which I need. I am way to organized to not have a schedule! He smiled for the first time on Feb. 10th at 8 weeks old. He has smiled only a few times since, but today has started smiling a lot more. It is sooo fun. He had his 2 month Dr. appt. on Friday. I thought that he was huge...apparently he isn't very big at all.

Here are his measurements:

Weight: 10 lbs. 3 oz. 15%

Height: 21 3/4 in. 10%

Head: 39 cm 25%

Addie

This little girl is a firecracker. She is now 3 1/2 years old. She is in preschool 2 days a week and loves it! Each day she has preschool she has to choose her own clothes and then says :"Ms. Dee Dee will say 'you look so cute!' " She loves to impress people and knows how to charm any adult into loving her the most. (No seriously, just ask her primary teacher who her favorite kid in the class is). She is VERY emotional. When people ask me if there has been any adjustments with the new baby, I reply no, not that I know of, because Addie always cries and I wouldn't know any different. She is very sensitive, but is very funny. She loves to make people laugh and is such a clown. She adores Macie and wants to be doing anything and everything that Macie does. She loves Camden and has to kiss him goodbye each day as she leaves. When she is saying goodbye or goodnight to a member of the family she will say "goodbye, love you" about 15 times. You MUST reply or she will have a complete breakdown and will not stop crying for about 15 minutes or until you call the person who didn't respond. She keeps life very interesting and tries my patience on a daily basis.

But how could you not love this smile!!

Macie

This little girl is getting so big! She is now a few months away from turning 6. She is such a good girl. She is very responsible and is a great big sister. She loves to help and doesn't usually complain. She loves to vacuum and is a master at making her bed. She loves school and is learning how to read. She loves to read books to Addie. She is very good with Camden and sometimes scares us a little when she walks into the room holding him. She loves to have fun and enjoys life. Her favorite color is pink. If she is bored or looking for something to do you will find her coloring and drawing or playing school with Addie.
A few things that have happened lately:
While listening to a primary song in the car: "This song makes my heart feel good." We then had a nice little talk about what the spirit feels like.
I came home one night from Young Women's and she started to tell me about how she had lost a toy and couldn't find it so she decided to pray. She said a prayer asking Heavenly Father to help her find her toy and when she was done praying she looked down and her toy was right there. She was so excited that her prayer was answered.
These are such fun and sweet little experiences for her and us as parents. We are so proud of her.

An ode to Geoffy

Right before Christmas I was wondering around pinterest and found a few projects that I really liked. I was, however, 9 months pregnant and about to have a baby. Geoff took notice of the things that I really liked and took it upon himself to make them for me. Love him. Here are a few things that my AMAZING hubby made over the winter holiday.

First, he started off with new beds for the girls. They have been sharing a full size bed ever since Addie can remember. Addie loved sharing a bed with Macie. Macie not so much. Addie is a crazy sleeper. Here is Macie's bed. There is the storage below the bed and the bookshelf above the bed. This was to help with the amazing clutter that 2 little girls can produce. I was lucky enough to find bedding that matched, was their favorite colors, and was within my budget. LOVE!!Here is Addie's bed. I have since gotten baskets for below their beds to store their things in. This is the "hut". When I found this bed, there was a center that both of the beds came to. We went back and forth on different ways to make this work, and finally came up with this. The girls LOVE it! And so do I, now I don't see ANY of their clutter at all!!! It has taken their room from a mess zone to a clean zone and everyone (especially clean freak momma) is happy!! They are allowed to do what they want inside the hut. Including putting pictures on the wall. This is a feature that Macie loves. I was constantly telling her to take things off of the walls because I can't stand the look of it. (She even has a huge cork board in the toy room she can use, but it is not in her bedroom, so it is not usable). And here is what they look like in their room. When Geoff asked me what I wanted for Christmas, I told him that I would like more pieces to my nativity. When he started looking, he didn't like how much they cost, so he took it upon himself to build the Creche to my nativity. It looks the exact same. Amazing! I came out Christmas morning and he had it all set up. It looks so good and makes such a difference!!! I love it and am still in shock that he made it!!

Then he made the girls some benches.

The benches were to go with this. A coffee table that he cut in half and added a middle section to. All his idea by the way! The middle section is complete with a little container for markers and crayons. It also has pull out drawers on each end for the girls coloring books. He is genius. All of this because, again, I was tired of seeing all of their crap all over the place. Now everything has a home. LOVE it!!!One of the pull out drawers, with my little helper.

This is the other beauty that I found on pinterest. I saw it and decided that I was going to make it. I have been looking for a table for our front entry way and this was just what I was looking for. He also made this for me for Christmas. After he made it, I stained it and I love the way it turned out. Better than I could have ever imagined.

The best part about all of these projects is that we didn't have to pay a dime for any of the wood. We had a bunch of points on our credit card and used them to get gift cards for home depot, so everything was completely free!! LOVE it!!!!!

Daytime happenings

I haven't posted in a while, so here are some of the things that we have been up to:Last Sunday Addie was sitting in this chair talking to me and then it got quiet...so I look up and she is passed out in this chair. Poor tired little girl.

Geoff went to check on the girls the other night and he found Macie asleep like this. This is funny because when the girls are thinking, this is how they do it.

Macie loves this present that she got from grandma and grandpa for Christmas. They are magnets and she can't get enough of them. I am constantly hearing her say, "mom, come and look at this new thing I made!!"

The girls and dad relaxing together! I sure love these people!!

The girls found their instruments again and have been playing them with full force. (It is a constant reminder of why they were hidden!!!! I wonder what I was thinking pulling them out again!) However, this picture portrays Addie at her finest!
Macie needed some Christmas lights for a school project, but before the project got done the girls decided to decorate. Notice the big hole in Macie's mouth....she lost another tooth!!a pic of the kiddies. Love them!
We have been enjoying some cuddles and snuggles with this little guy, when he looks like this...
And when he looks like this we are busy trying to figure out what is wrong. We have not been to successful in figuring that part out...wish us luck!!
Addie was the star student at school this past week. She loved it. She got to make a poster with a bunch of pictures on it and then talk to the class about the pictures. Here she is showing me the puppet she made. The girls have been taking their baths lately in our tub so they can play with their barbie and polly pocket pools. They now call our tub their pool and wear their goggles. I can't help but laugh when I see this picture...love a kid in goggles!!!!So in love with this little man!!! He is soooo attached to his binkie it is scary...I dread the day that I have to take it away!
