An accident and outside fun

On Monday, the girls were outside playing. They were spinning circles while holding hands. Addie started to trip, which tripped Macie really good and caused Macie to land on top of Addie. Addie caught the driveway with her face. You could hear her head hit the pavement. It was one of those falls that you knew wasn't going to look good when you pick your kid up....Here are the pictures of the damage that was done.
The whole right side of her face is a massive bruise. It is swollen and she has a black eye.
When we came inside we gave her an ice pack and she immediately fell asleep. Poor thing. It was a good fall. She is getting better and as far as we can tell, there is no permanent damage.

We were outside yesterday playing and I decided to take a few pics of the girls in action. We were setting up some hop-scotch. Addie wasn't feeling well all day, so she is still in her pj's.
Here is Macie trying to draw a hop-scotch.
Addie so proud that her penny landed on the 10. For some reason, this is their ultimate goal when playing hop-scotch. They think that they don't win unless they land their penny here.
What a cute girl!! Love those big blue eyes!
Addie saying cheese. See her face. It is getting better. We are just hoping that it doesn't scar.

Camden Walks!!

Our little guy has decided to really take off the past few days. He is choosing to walk everywhere. Here he is in action!

Thoughts

As I go into this week, I have so many mixed emotions. We are going into the final week of being a family of 5. I am not even used to saying that we are a family of 5 and we are almost a family of 6. This little girl will most likely make her appearance this Friday or Saturday. CRAZY.
I have basically been in denial this entire pregnancy, acting as if it really isn't happening. And now all of a sudden the end is here and we are going to have another little running around. I am so nervous. Mostly because I have c-sections and I have a VERY active 11 month old who needs me sooo much and loves me sooo much and is sooo attached. I am so worried at the fact that I am not going to be the mom that he needs me to be. That I can't lift him for at least 4 weeks. (He weighs about 25 lbs.) I have constant thoughts of how am I going to get him into the high chair, the car seat, his crib, etc.
While we are excited for this little girl, we know that our lives will be turned upside for a while. So, if you call and I don't answer....you know why. I am really trying to prepare myself mentally for what life is going to be like for at least the next few months....CRAZY!! We know that this little girl is coming for a reason and that she will be a huge blessing to our family. I am actually really excited for Camden to have a playmate! He is always trying to play with the girls, but is just so small that they just get frustrated with him messing everything up. It will be nice as this little one grows to see them play together and become such good friends. In the end I know that we will be so happy that life worked out this way, but for now, the thought of how crazy life is going to be for a while is kind of overwhelming. The next time you hear from me it will probably be about a new baby!!!

On another note...the little guy is really trying to walk. He is getting really good, but is still pretty wobbly. He had his first really good fall this week. He was walking and fell right into the edge of a doorway. He got a pretty good goose egg right away and now about 5 days later, it is finally starting to go away. Here are a few pictures of him the night it happened.
The big goose egg on his forehead.
See that huge thing. Poor kid.
Poor baby, looks totally abused. He also has a scratch across his head and a big bruise on the side of his head from falling again. He is finally starting to look normal again, only I am sure to get more bruises and restart the whole look again.
Also this week, Macie received an award in school. Only 6 kids get this award throughout the school year and she was chosen this time. The award is called the "character award". It is given to a student who shows respect, kindness, is a good example, etc. They gave her the award at an assembly and she had no idea. She was so shocked and surprised and proud of herself. It was so fun to be there to watch her and to be able to talk with her about how special that award is. I am so thankful for good kids, who listen and have a desire to do good. (I did get a few pictures of this, but they are on my phone and I can't figure out how to get them to upload...so sorry).

Trouble

In the past week this little guy has learned quite a few new things. He has now mastered the stairs, going up them without any problems and is starting to come down them as well with no issues. He is now walking from a chair to the couch or from a cupboard to the table, taking about 5-10 steps each time without falling. Each day he goes a little further and is choosing to stand and walk a little more than he is choosing to crawl. He figured out how to climb out of his high chair....not a good thing!! I have caught him with a banana and knife in his hand because he crawled out in the 2 seconds I was getting something out of the fridge and sat back down, I have caught him with a full container of snacks only to get to the table just in time to watch him dump the entire thing out. He is a little trouble maker. He is definitely all boy and keeps me on my toes constantly. He is busy, busy, busy. In the amount of time that it takes me to load the dishes he can have 3 cupboards empty and be over to "help" me by emptying out everything that I have just put in the dishwasher. (this all happens within about a 5 minute period). I walked into the kitchen the other night and found this:
 hmmm...what is this?!
Let's see...There is one under my leg...
Oh, yummy...a cracker...at which point he started choking because he shoved the whole thing in his mouth.
But then you have the moments where he is just sooo cute!!! Like when he sits at the back door and watches the girls play and pounds on the window and yells at them to get their attention.
And then you are reminded how truly messy boys are and are sooo thankful that you only have 1!!!
Hi mom! Just eating my noodles and rubbing my hands all over my head and the table and the chairs and anything that I can grab!!!! And did I mention that he is only 10 months old...and I am 8 months pregnant....yep, exhausting!!!! Good thing he is sooo cute and loves me tons and tons!!

Halloween 2012

This year Halloween was fun. The girls were so excited to go Trick or Treating. They could not wait. We went to a neighborhood that was FULL of trick or treaters and the people went all out in decor and such. It was nice. After doing only 3 streets their buckets were completely full. Addie was hilarious!! She kept saying: "trick or treating is hard work" , "I am so tired" , "Will someone please carry my bucket, it is too heavy!" These were just a few of the funny things we kept hearing from her, yet every time we asked her if she was ready to be done, the answer was no and she kept going along. We would ask her if she wanted us to empty part of her bucket and the answer was always no as well. She was a trooper. We only were out for about 45 min. At the most and then headed home because their buckets were to full. Macie loved it. She was always 2 houses ahead of us running from door to door.
Dad got home a little early and the girls were showing them all of the stuff that they made in school for Halloween. Here he is wearing a pair of "boo" glasses that Macie made in class.
This is sadly the best picture I got of them actually trick or treating. They were just to fast and would not slow down.
Here we are at home checking out the loot. Camden is in heaven! (We are skyping my parents on the computer.)
Here is the chunky little guy! Sucking on a twix, loving life.
For Halloween this year, Addie started out as a gypsy. This is a costume that I bought for Macie 3 years ago on clearance after Halloween, and she refused to wear it, so now it finally fit Addie, and after having it on for 10 minutes, she decided that she wanted to be something else.
She changed into a fairy. She wore this skirt with purple wings and was in heaven. Especially when people actually new what she was. I was impressed that  alot of people guessed right.
Macie was Super Girl this year. She chose this costume out last year after Halloween to buy and wear this year. She liked it, but sometimes wanted to be something else.
The girls were so funny once we got home. They couldn't decide what was more fun, trick or treating or answering the door and handing out candy when kids came to the door. They had dumped out their buckets and were handing the kids that came to the door all of the candy that they didn't like. HAHA. Works for me!
