The Farm

On Saturday we were invited to our Bishop's wife's family farm. They hold a Halloween party there every year and have a ton of fun things to do. When we got there the girls headed straight for the tattoo and craft table. They got a couple of tattoo's and decorated a Halloween bag for the pinata. Then we basically didn't see them for the rest of the night. The Bishop's daughter and her friends took the girls and played with them and took them on all of the rides and everything else that was involved with the night. The girls had a great time and cried when it was time to leave. They can't wait to go back!Addie going for a horse ride. Not sure what to think. The only way she would get on this was if her friend Addie rode on it with her. (Yes they have the same name.)Loving it! She was so cute the whole time with this perma grin on her face. She got off of the horse and said, "I want to do that again!"Macie waiting her turn for the horse ride. She had already gone on her first one by the time we got down there. So, we have pictures of her second ride. She just hopped on with some random girl. I am pretty sure that she rode the horse about 4 times throughout the night.Addie waiting for Macie to be done.

Then the girls went on a hay ride. It really was so nice to basically have babysitters the entire night. These girls were so great and the best part is that they wanted to take my kids and play with them and show them a good time!! After the hay ride and horses, it was time for the pinata!Shortly after Macie, the pinata broke off of the string, so everyone else got to hit it on the ground. Which worked out great for the little kids. It was such a fun night, on such pretty property and the girls are already asking when we can go back. I think that we might have to own some horses in our future!!!

Pumpkin Patch

On Friday we went to a local pumpkin patch to have a little fun. It wasn't quite as fun as the one in Cleveland, but the girls had a good time. They 2 mazes that were just for kids...no adults allowed!! Kind of scary to send your kid in there just hoping that they make it out ok!Here is Addie trying to pick up a pumpkin. She is such a goofball.Macie so proud that she could pick this one up. She took this whole pumpkin patch thing very seriously!! We were not leaving there until we had found the perfect pumpkin! Here she pondering on which one we should choose. And while Macie is serious about this pumpkin business....Addie could careless and is more worried about having fun!
Then we moved onto the bounce houses. Those things are soooo fun!! (No, Sara, I did not do these pregnant like we did when we prego with the first ones!! haha!!) The kids had blast and could not do them enough times. I love Addie's super woman pose on this!! When the girls saw this, they had to get measured. Every time they drink milk we have to measure them to see how big they have gotten. They are obsessed with getting big and seeing how tall they are. Funny girls! The best part is that they really think every time they drink milk, they grow!Addie's height. And the pumpkin cut out. The girls had a fun time and we can't complain either. We just couldn't believe how hot it was....still....Finally we ended the day with a hay ride around the pumpkin patch.

JOKE

So, On Monday I had another ultrasound to make sure that things were going good with the baby. During this ultrasound we checked the gender to make sure that it was really a girl.....and to our great surprise....it wasn't, it is a BOY! Holy cow!!! Shock, disbelief, excited...these are just a few of the things that we have felt. We can't believe that we are actually having a boy. We were sure that our home was going to be a home filled with girls and we were completely fine and excited about that. I liked that it was a girl because we already had everything for a girl and I wouldn't have to buy anything. I had already made headbands and bought matching outfits for the girls and everything!!!

Geoff was not able to come with us to the ultrasound because he was at work, so he called me to ask how things went and then he said "so, it is a girl right?" at this point I wasn't sure how I was going to answer because I wanted to see his reaction in person, so I went along with it and just said "yep, a girl." When he came home I had dinner on the table and on his plate I had this sign:

He was so shocked and just looked at me, mouth open, in total disbelief!! It was pretty funny! Then he says.."are you serious? Why didn't you tell me when I called?" I then proceeded to tell him that I wanted to see his reaction in person, so I didn't know what else to do!! HAHA!!

Needless to say we are all excited and are getting used to the idea...well, all of us but Addie...she "doesn't like boys and doesn't want to have the baby anymore!"

Rain!!!

Last Sunday it actually RaIneD!!!! So, naturally the girls wanted to take full advantage and who am I to say no when we NEVER see rain!! I can't pass up a good play in the rain opportunity! So before church they got all of their gear on and headed out with their umbrella's. I am pretty sure that they stayed out there for an entire hour. They could not get enough!! When it was time to come in, they insisted that I take a couple of pictures of them in their wetness....
They had ditched their umbrella's about half way through their play time, so they were pretty wet!So cute! I love that they know how to have fun and don't care if they get wet!

School Carnival

Macie's school had a school fall carnival that we were able to go to a couple of weeks ago. The girls had a blast! They stuck with the games that only cost a ticket or 2 and always came with a prize. Their favorite one was the fishing one. I am pretty sure that they did this one like 5 times.
Addie picking her duck. Here they are fishing.Old pilgrims. Macie was pretty mad that we made her be the boy....she was just taller.because she was mad, we had to do this one as well so she could be a cute flower. Silly girl!

Sayings

There are a few things that the girls have said lately that I really want to remember.
Macie came home from school about 2 weeks ago and was complaining that the boys on the playground were kissing her, they were chasing her down and making her kiss them!!!....I did nothing about it the first day she said it, but the second day, I emailed her teacher. She said that she didn't like school anymore and wanted to just stay home, so I knew that something had to be done. We finally got the whole boy chasing thing taken care of when she comes home and says to me:
Macie: "EJ (a boy from her class) is in love with me."
Me: what? How do you know this?
Macie: He told me. He tells me every morning that he wants to kiss me.
Me: What?!!! You don't kiss him...right?!!!
Her: No!! That is gross!!
Me: (sigh of relief)...What do you say to him?
Her: okay.... and he called me sweetie (at this point she starts to giggle)

I don't know what we are going to do with her when she is older if it is already this bad!! AHH!! Thankfully school has been going better and she is making friends and actually is enjoying going to school.
Addie goes to school once a week and loves it!! She asks everyday if it is her school day.
When we were reading scriptures the other night, she was copying what Geoff was reading and this is what came out:
G: And it came to pass..
A: And it came to pass..
G: that Alma
A: that Elmo
I was laughing so hard because every time he would say Alma...she would say Elmo and think nothing of it! So funny
On the way home from church today Addie says: "mom, I'm happy because our home is close to the church." So random and so funny that she would think to say this!!

I love my girls and the things that they say! Life would be soooo boring without them around!
