Cowgirl Addie

Today Addie wanted to be a cowgirl. She came downstairs and asked me to tie on her bandanna. After I did she said "thanks cookie!" She then proceeded to tell me why she called me "cookie". Apparently that is what cowboys call their cooks. haha. After showing me her lasso skills with her necklace, she asked me to take a few picture of her being a cowgirl.  Silly girl has so much character we don't know what to do with her!

4th of July windmills

Today I finally had 2 napping babies at the same time this morning. Because they were both napping, the girls and I had to take full advantage!! We pulled out a craft for the 4th of July and went to town. We decided to make some windmills. The girls got to work with crayons and glitter glue, while I started cutting stars out of sticker paper. We were able to get them all made in the short hour that we had before Camden woke up.
They are now hanging from our dining room light. The girls love them, we had fun making them, and  they look pretty cute! To bad it is Camden's personal goal to try and destroy them. We will see how long they last before he climbs on the table when I am not looking and rips them all down.
 Tada!

A fall in the tub

Macie was taking a bath. Camden had already taken one. He went in to check on her and fell in while trying to reach for a toy. So he began swimming and laughing and got to take another bath. Crazy kid.

Ballet Camp

Last week the girls went to a ballet camp. I haven't signed them up for dance for a while and they were soooo excited to finally go to a class. They LOVED every minute of it and would come home everyday and show me what they learned. It was so fun and they learned a ton! They would get ready everyday and make sure that everything was just right. Their hair had to be in a bun and they had to look like ballerina's.
While at camp they learned a dance. Addie was a monkey and Macie was a princess. We got to go the last day and watch them perform it for us. They both did a great job! They are now begging me to sign them up for weekly classes. These girls love to dance and practically live in their leotards!

Swim Lessons

For the first week of Summer Addie was signed up for swim lessons. We found a lady who does them out of her backyard the first  full week of Summer and only allows 4 kids in each class. We jumped at the opportunity and are so glad we did!
Before Swim lessons, Addie would NEVER put her head under the water, and if she did she would end up crying every time.  At her swimming lessons in the fall she would sit and cry before, during, and after the lesson. It was a very dramatic event. So, this time....I bribed her. I told her that if she did everything the teacher told her to, and didn't cry, then she would get to choose a prize out of our prize box at the end of the week, but she had to do good everyday. I am the.most.happy. mom ever after these lessons. She is a totally different kid in the water. She can swim!!! 100% completely on her own!! Jumping in the pool, swimming across the pool, coming up for breath during her swimming, diving for rings in the deep end.....I mean, she really can swim! It is quite amazing. She is a totally different kid in the water. When we go to the pool now, all she wants to do is jump in and do bobs the whole time. It is pretty funny. I don't know what this teacher did, but wow! Totally worth the $40.
Coming up out of the water after getting a ring.
Swimming across the pool to her teacher.
At the end of her lessons. Way to go Addie!!!! So proud of you!

A little rain

A few weeks ago we had a rain storm. It was a Friday night. The babies were in bed and the girls were watching a movie. All of a sudden I hear Geoff say: "who wants to come and jump on the trampoline with me?" Of coarse both girls look at each other with these big eyes and jump up and run outside. I went out and joined in as well, and then I decided that we needed to document this. So here is the proof!!
It looks like it is snowing in this picture, but it really is just rain!
 Say cheese!
After we headed in and changed, we grabbed the camera for some after photos....
And because we can't be serious for to long....

Grandma and Grandpa Bradley visit

Over the past couple of months we have been lucky enough to have my parents come and visit us twice!! The first time was back in March over Spring Break. They called us up and said: "hey..what are you guys doing this next week?" To which we said: "Nothing...Why?"  Then they proceeded to tell us that they were going to drive down and see us!! They got here about dinner time on Monday night and left early Friday morning. It was so fun having them here. The girls love it when they come. They feel so special when Grandma and Grandpa pick them up from school, or read them a book or play with them. It was a fun week spent looking for a house to buy, seeing some sights, getting some dental work done, and spending time together.
Playing games with Grandpa and having story time from the  ipad.
Going to the Ft. Worth water gardens. This is on their way down in and walking around the bottom.
This little guy is something else. He found a stick, as any little boy would, put said stick in the water...reached over to touch the wall, and fell in soaking his bottom half. At this point, we just took off his shoes and socks and let him be.....then he went back over to the same wall, with the same stick...and fell in a second time, this time sliding his head down the entire wall on his way in! Ouch! You would think that at this point we weren't watching him...but I assure you, we were. We were right there the whole time. You just never know what he is going to do...and I did catch him the second time. It might have been a second to late, but hey...at least I tried. After the second time falling in, we just gave up and stripped him down. Yes, we were walking through downtown Ft.Worth with a kid in a diaper. Not my style, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.
 The sweet kids.
Everyone laugh!!   Playing sound of music hiding in the trees.  Climbing up the pyramid.

The second time they came to visit was in May. They came down for my sisters gymnastics competition. It was going to be here in Dallas, so they flew down a few days early so we could play and then we headed up to Frisco and Carrollton for her competition. The few days that they were here, we again went looking for homes and just hung out. Then we headed up for Nana's competition. We stayed at my Aunt Ann's house. While there we had some time in between the competition for some fun, so we headed into the Dallas Science Museum. It was fun, but we didn't really look at the map very carefully and totally missed  the best sections for the kids...boo. Oh well. Next time. They still had fun and so did we. These places are always so cool to visit because of all of the little facts that you learn.
They had an earthquake simulator ride that you could go on. Here are the girls with Aunt Ann and Uncle Byron. I love their faces in the bottom two pictures. So funny!!!
Next up was the weather station. You would stand in front of the screen and it would put you in some type of storm and tell you what to say. In the top picture, my dad is being the weatherman. Funny!
 The sweet kids.
When they were here this time, Geoff was out of town. It was so nice to have the extra help. Here is Brynlee with mom on Sunday after church and then with dad at night bouncing on the exercise ball, where she fell asleep. Soooo cute!

A day at the zoo

A couple of weeks ago there was a girl in our ward who had free tickets to the zoo. She has a zoo pass so she gave them to us. We didn't tell the girls where we were going, just that we had a surprise for them. They had been guessing all morning long and had actually said the zoo in the their guessing, but we never told them. Their reaction was sooo great. We pull up and Macie reads the sign that says "Fort Worth Zoo" and they start screaming and hollering and cheering. They were so excited. You'd of thought we were going to Disney Land. Silly Girls. We got there right as it opened, which was good because it was a HOT and Humid day. We were only there for about 2 hours, but that was plenty. By the last half hour, Camden was TOTALLY done. He would.not.stop.crying. Ever. He was having a complete meltdown and nothing we did was helping. Basically at that point, we couldn't get out of there fast enough! It was a fun morning though and some of the animals gave us quite the show!
First stop: the rhino's! I don't think that I have ever seen a rhino this close up before. They truly look like the way I would envision a triceratops dinosaur.
Next up was the tiger. This tiger was giving us quite the stare down. He kept walking back and forth right in front of us. The girls thought that it was the coolest thing ever and Camden couldn't get away fast enough!
Taking a little break and trying to see the Zebra's that were hiding up on the hill.
We were able to see this little bear as well. There was 2 of them and they were giving us quite the show. They were walking right on the edge of the rocks and kept reaching out as us. At one point they got into a little fight and then continued trying to get us. Camden didn't mind these guys so much. I think he actually laughed at them. The girls liked the bears and thought that it was pretty cool how close we got.
This little girl was/is the best baby ever!!!!!! She sat in her car seat the WHOLE time and didn't make a peep. She drank her bottle, took a nap, and just hung out the entire time. We were amazed, shocked, and thankful. Between the older girls, Camden, and the stroller, I don't know what we would have done had she decided she wanted to be held the whole time as well. Angel baby. Love her.

The month of May

The month of May according to my phone.
Aunt Nana had a trampoline competition here in Dallas so we were able to go and watch. It was so fun!! Nana and the girls doing "Salute".
Grandpa hanging with the girls playing a game.
The twins at 17 months and 6 months.
This little girl fell asleep in dad's arms. Such a cutie.
Addie loves to help with the dishes. She asks me if she can do them. I, of coarse, say yes.
There was a bad storm with a tornado warning coming through, so we had a sleepover in our room for few hours just to be safe.
Addie was outside playing and found this caterpillar. She thinks it is pretty cool.
We had a friend give us some free tickets to the zoo. It was a lot of fun to go. Here are the girls checking out the flamingo's.
One night Geoff and I were having a nerf gun fight. It was a lot of fun.
This sweet baby will sleep anywhere. It is so great.
Camden playing outside. He is at the door yelling to come in.
Brynlee was rolling around the floor in the toy room and got caught up in the purse pile.
This guy loves to DESTROY everything he can. One of his favorite things to do right now is empty every.single.cupboard in the kitchen. So fun!
