Macie's 2nd Grade Award Ceremony

This year the girls award ceremony's were on the same day. It was a crazy day to say the least, as their schools are 20 minutes apart and their ceremonies were really close together time wise. We went to Macie's school first for hers. She is such an excellent student and kind friend to all. She had an amazing 2nd grade year, with amazing teachers.
Here she is waiting for the awards to start.
Not the best picture, (but the best I could get while trying to entertain 2 toddlers!) Here she is getting the award for "Best choir singer and voice" from her music teacher.
This is her and Loren. They did the Living History Musuem together where Macie was Helen Keller and Loren was her teacher.
Accepting all of her different awards in a packet
Checking out all of the different awards...

Her teachers then announced the star student of the year. It is the student who had and kept good grades, was kind and nice at all times to everyone, was a leader and good example, and was good at all of the fine arts. When Macie's name was called for this award I may have yelled "woohoo" a  little louder then she would have liked, but I was just so proud of my little girl. She was the only student to receive this award for her class and I thought it was pretty amazing!

And here she is with both of her 2nd grade teachers. Mrs Wilcox and Mrs. Murray.

Addie Kindergarten Program

Addie is in Kindergarten this year. She is a smart little girl who probably could have skipped Kindergarten all together and been ok. Addie went to the neighborhood school this year called Frazier Elementary. She was able to walk to school everyday with the kids from the neighborhood. She really enjoyed it. At the end of the year they had a Kindergarten Program and an awards ceremony.
Here she is the singing program.
Addie and her teacher Mrs. Peirrard.
 Addie getting her first award.
She is such a good little girl, she actually got quite a few awards and was up there a lot. We are very proud of her.

Circus Show

Macie is at a Fine Arts School this year called TeSA. She is everything fine arts and has LOVED being at this school. At the end of the year, they get to put on a big musical production. The grades involved in her show this year were K-2. So her class was the oldest group. It was so fun to be able to go and watch something she had worked so hard on. She tried out for a few solo's and got 3 of them. I may have teared up a little each time she sang. Geoff and I also may have been shaking before each one with nerves. We were seriously soooo nervous for her it was pretty funny. She did amazing though and we are so proud of her for being able to go on stage in the 2nd grade in front of an auditorium filled with people and not be nervous at all.
 Singing one of her Solo's.
Macie and Loren, her BFF after the show.
We are also lucky to have family that live so close to us and love our girls and come out to support them. It was a fun night.

Making Cookies

We came home from church last Sunday and the kids really wanted to make some cookies. So away we went. When I said "sure" I didn't think that every single kid would want up to "help" make them. Luckily we have a big enough counter to hold them all and there was no fighting or pushing for a spot.
The best part of making cookies for the kids is that every single time they each get some chocolate chips and they each get a ball of dough. I feel like I am feeding seagulls at the beach when this happens. But I wouldn't have it any other way. Love these kids and am so glad they keep me on my toes.

Macie's 8th Birthday

Macie turned 8 on May 5th. It was such a fun day. 8 is such a magical birthday knowing that it means you will be baptized. Macie is a beautiful young lady who amazes me everyday with her desire to choose the right. For her 8th birthday she got to have a party. She chose to invite friends from school.  She had 6 friends come and we had a water party outside.
We did the usual treasure hunt for presents. This year was more fun than in the past because we were able to make the clues a lot harder.
And because she turned 8 Grandma and Grandpa Bradley bought her her very own Book of Mormon/Bible combination. She was soooo excited. The picture says it all.
She also got a CTR necklace from mom and dad, which she was also super happy for.
Macie was so fun this year. I love all of the pictures. They show how truly happy she was for every single gift.
 All of the presents.
She chose to have an ice cream cup for her "cake", because she was having a party in a few days with the real cake.
 The party group!
 The fun outside water games.
The ice cream cake being delivered....
And the singing and blowing out of candles.
It was a fun filled party week for our little 8 year old. Happy birthday Macie!! We love you tons and tons!!!!
