Here are a few more pictures of the girls together. Macie is a little rough with Addelyn- but she is getting better. Macie is adjusting well to having someone else here and we are having a good time. Addelyn is getting bigger and weighs 5 pounds 10 ounces. She is still tiny, but so cute and fun! We sure do love her!!!

So Geoff works out in our basement sometimes and Macie likes to go down there with him and work out too. So here she is on the pull up bar and jump roping. She gets so excited and loves to just hang from the pull up bar.

Update

So Little Addelyn was able to come home today! We are soooo excited!!! It is so nice to have her here and to be able to be together as a family. This past week has been full of trips to the hospital, tantrums from Macie ( she didn't really understand why every night we had to go and visit the baby instead of playing outside), me trying to keep it together, Geoff keeping it together, lots of prayer, lots of recieved service, and one thankful family.

It is so fun to see Macie with Addie- She gets so excited. We were in the car on the way home from the hospital when Addelyn started to cry- you hear Macie say- "it's ok baby- mommy's coming- shhhhhhhh" so cute!! She is going to be such a good big sister. Now all we have to do is teach her how to be gentle with the baby.

These pictures are from today when we got home. Macie was so excited to hold her, she couldn't wait to get her out of the car seat- which is funny, because when Addelyn was in the hospital- Macie wanted nothing to do with her.

Here are a few pics of Macie. She went over to a friends house this morning and she snapped these really cute pics of her while she was there. Just thought that I would share.

A little update on Addelyn- she is still in the hospital. She is scheduled to come home Saturday as long as nothing else happens. Wish us luck!!!

More pictures of Addelyn and Macie

So an update on Addelyn. She is out of NICU but still in a special area and not in the room with Becky. But she is doing great and is on a feeding schedule and hopefully should be home on Tuesday or Wednesday. Since she was moved out of NICU, we were able to take Macie into the room to see her for the first time. She was so excited to hold the baby and see her. She just wanted Addelyn to open up her eyes and play but she was sleeping. So here are some cute pictures of Macie and Addelyn together for the first time.

Addelyn Barnum

So yesterday on the 18th, we welcomed our new baby girl Addelyn to the family. She wayed in at 5lbs 7oz and is about 18 inches long. She is in NICU because she needed some extra oxygen but is off that already so we are excited. Becky did great and is recovering well at the hospital over the weekend. Macie hasn't seen the new baby yet but was pretty worried about Mom being in the hospital when we went for a visit. We are just so happy to have a new addition to the fam. We will keep you up to date on the news.
Her hair is darker but just hasn't had her bath yet. She has blue eyes just like Macie.

Busy, busy, busy

Here are a few things that Macie has been up to lately-

Coloring on herself while mom gets dressed, then coming in her room and saying very proudly
"I did it mom!!!!"

Climbing into the baby crib and thinking that it is her bed again- she loves to just go in there and lay and pretend like she is going to sleep.

Just a little update on what we have been up to. Our crazy 2 year old just keeps getting crazier- although- she is really excited for the baby to come!! We will have another one in the next few days!!! We will be sure to keep you posted!

Camping!!

We went camping this past weekend with some friends from the ward and had a blast!!! Macie did pretty good! She ran around with the rest of the kids and had a fun time. She fell alot -so her pants, shorts, and knees were always muddy and dirty.
There was a lake there with a beach so we went to the beach on Friday morning. The beach was so nice- the water- distcusting!! Geoff had no desire to go in that water- unforunately for him- I don't have a swimsuit that fits and Macie LOVES the water. She was in that water alot and just kept wanting to go deeper and deeper! Everytime Geoff would head back to shore with her- she would scream! It was pretty funny! She finally found the mud, which distracted her from the water long enough for Geoff to get dry. She got so muddy and dirty that we had to stop by the showers on the way back to camp so she and Geoff could rinse off.
After that it was back to camp where Macie took a nice long nap and we got some rest. That night we had a weenie roast and some smores. YUM! and then some of the other parents, who were more prepared than we were, brought out some sparklers, pop its, and the growing worms.

The kids had fun and lucky for us- they shared their fireworks!! Thanks guys!! Macie had fun with the pop its- she would throw them down and they wouldn't pop- so we would tell her to step on them- she would try to step on the same one about 6 times before she would finally get it- pretty funny!!
All in all- it was a great trip and we had fun! Macie slept good and even took a good nap! We were very lucky!!
