Poopy

Ok, So this morning the girls are playing in their room and I am telling Macie that it is time to get dressed, but she tells me to get Addie dressed first. So, I go to unzip her pj's and this is what I find!!
I don't know if you can tell, but there is NO diaper on her.
Here is a picture of her left leg. Do you see the diaper down there??
It was at this point that I was saying to myself, please just let it not be poopy. So, I pulled it out and took her jammies off and yea! there was no poop, just her wet diaper.  (or so I thought!!)
And then I heard this from Macie: "eww!! She's poopy!! Mom, look at those poopies!!"
Sorry for the graphic picture, but Macie was right, look at those poopies!!!
Ahhh, the joy of being a mother!!!
By the way, Addie thought that this was hilarious and would not stop laughing and running around naked. Crazy kids!

18 months

Addie is 18 months. WOW!! She is still so tiny that I forget that she is this big. Here are a few things that Addie does at 18 months.
(So I can remember!)
She weighs: 19 lbs.  and
is 30 inches tall.  (5%)
Some words that she can say:
Mama
Dada
sis
snack
dance
up
baby
hello
bye
high five
oh yeah!
uh-oh

Some things that she does on a consistant basis:
-Whenever she takes a drink, she has to say "ahh"
When she is done saying "ahh", she looks at me and says "mama, ahh!"
I then have to respond by saying "ahh" and then she is satified and can move on with life. It is pretty funny and cute.
-When she is playing, she pretends to go bye bye and everytime she does this, she will wave to you and blow you a kiss. I then have to do the same thing in return, or she will not leave me alone and will sit there and just say "mama, mama, mama" until I do.
-Whenever she falls down she says "woe".... and then gives a big smile.

These are just a few of the things that Addie does and says. We love her oh so much and can't believe that she is old enough to go to nursery. (Which is why we don't make her go, because she just seems to little, and Geoff can't stand to just let her sit in there and cry!!  :)     )

Dominican Republic

On January 15th Geoff flew out with a group of dental students to the Dominican Republic for 10 days. They were going to do some free dental work on the people down there. He said that it was an amazing experience, he learned alot and was really glad that he went. Here are a few pictures of his adventure.

Some kids at one of the schools.

Doing some sight seeing

After they did some free dental work for a few days, they all went to a resort for a few days to relax.
All I can say is jealous and beautiful!!!

A shipwreck.

All in all he had a GREAT trip. I am glad that he went, although I can't say that I want him to go again. It was NOT fun being an only parent. The girls and I were all really sick almost the whole time he was gone. It was a good learning experience for all of us, but one that I don't really want to relive. I am grateful for the good friends that I have here who helped take care of me and the girls while Geoff was gone. We are sure glad that he is back and it is fun to be as a family again.

For you, Geoffy

Here are a few pics of what we have been up to. Geoff has been out of town for a few days and so we thought that we would show him what we are doing. Enjoy.

Addie just being cute.

Addie has been pretty sick. Here she is on the ventalator. It just looks so sad, but she actually has been doing really well with it.

The girls in the tub with bubble beards. They thought that this was pretty funny.

Addie spilling her milk and thinking that it was super cool. Here she is saying  "oh yeah!!!"

All of us. Letting you know how much we miss you and can't wait for your return.

Christmas Eve

So, I just found these pics on my other camera. And I decided that this story is to cute not to have on the blog. On Christmas Eve Macie was so excited to put the cookies and milk out for Santa. She was all happy until......... We put the plate down, went in for a picture and Addie snatched a cookie off of the plate and put it into her mouth before anyone could stop her. It was actually really funny (for Geoff and I). Macie was not happy and tried to take the cookie away. We had to assure her that there were still enough cookies on the plate for Santa and that he would still come. It was quite hilarious. Lucky for us, Geoff had the camera out and was able to capture it all.

Santa

I forgot to blog about this, but want to make sure I have it on file, so.... Back in December we got the chance to see Santa!!! Here are the few pics that we got. This is Addie's first time with Santa and let's just say that it was NOT a good experience. Macie was still terrified this year and despite my attempts for a picture, she would not even get close to Santa, not even for a candy cane!! :)

Fingerpaints

I told Macie yesterday that if she was good than we could do some finger paints. So here she is playing in the finger paints. She was realizing that when you mix two colors together, it makes a new color. It was pretty cool. In the end she liked the black color she made the best. Maybe that is because that is all that was left. :)

Addie's first time finger painting. She liked it, but didn't quite know what to think.
In the end she had fun and got paint all over her face as well!!!

Going to the dentist

Yesterday Macie had her very first dental appointment with her dad!!!! She was soooo excited. The only thing that she requested was that he not wear a mask. Apparently she is terrified of them, because when he put one on, she freaked and would not sit in the chair, but when he took it off, she was completely fine. It was pretty funny. Something else that we found really funny was that she was laughing almost the entire time. We couldn't decide if it was because she was nervous or excited or what, but seriously, she wouldn't stop, even when another Dentist came over to look at her teeth. It was quite comical and kind of weird all at the same time.
The cool glasses that the kids get to protect their eyes
Geoff working on her teeth
Macie saying cheese, although you can't see her mouth because of the light.
I also must say that it was fun for me to see my husband working like this. It's not something that I get to see and it makes all of this that much more exciting.

Reindeer Game

While Geoff was on break, we went to Kirtland for a day to do a few things. They have a game for kids out there that is a lifesize boardgame. It is about a reindeer. Anyways, it was super cute and the girls enjoyed it, although didn't really get it. It was still fun though. After the game we headed over to the church Kirtland site where they have nativities set up from all over the world. It is always fun to go and see what the nativities look like and how many they have.

Bed coloring

I have been wanting to post a few things and finally have time/desire. First, Macie came out of her room last week and proudly announced....."I colored my bed!" She was sooooo proud of herself and after being scolded and put in time out, I asked her what she colored. Her response "a Christmas elf with presents". She is really into coloring lately because they taught her how to draw a person in school. (See the sideways thing that looks like a potato with eyes and arms coming out of it)
Anyways....here are some pics for your viewing pleasure!!
