Botanical Gardens

we went to the Botanical Gardens this past weekend. It was fun. Alot to see and some fun things to do. Macie enjoyed the butterflies, I enjoyed the pretty flowers. It was a beautiful day and a lot of fun to spend it as a family.

It was finally warm enough for us to pull the pool out and go swimming!!! The girls were so excited! Here are a few pics of the cute girls!

Brushing Teeth

We told Macie to go and brush her teeth. We walked in on her and this is what we found. Apparently she wanted to look in the mirror so she could see what she was doing. So, we took her out of the sink and hung this mirror up.
She appreciated that. It's alot easier to climb onto the toilet than it is to climb into the sink. Who would have thought.

The other day we were in the toy room. We started playing around and these are the pictures that turned out.

Macie's 3rd Birthday!!!

May 5th was Macie's 3rd birthday!! I can't believe that she is already 3! She is getting so big and we just love her to pieces. She is so funny and is always making us laugh. She is such a good big sister to Addie and is becoming a pretty good listener. She loves to play with friends and can't wait until she can go to school like a big girl! She is also potty trained (finally!)!

All in all it was a fun day. She got to go out to lunch to "the best restaurant ever!" (TGI Fridays and yes that was her choice!) Then we headed over to Chuck E. Cheese's to use our 20 free birthday tokens, then she had a brownie and ice cream with presents. She got some fun presents and was able to have a little party the next day with a few friends. We are so glad that it is over because she has been talking about her birthday for months and every time we go to the store all she says is "I need this for my birthday" and continues on with every toy she sees. She was also asking everyday if it was her birthday and when her party was. So we are glad that we don't have to hear that anymore.

Addie 9 months

Addie is growing so much!!! She is 9 months old and is soooo cute and happy. She loves to sit up and play with toys. She loves the bouncer and loves Macie. Addie is starting to talk. She says dada, and baba and is always trying to say new sounds. She is such a sweet heart and we love her to pieces. At her 9 month check up she weighed: 15 lbs. 8 oz. and is 26 inches tall. She is growing, but is still pretty small. The other day (when it was 85 degrees out) I needed some clothes for her to wear. I don't have any summer clothes for her because she is only in 3-6 month size and all I have is long sleeve for the next 6 months. (yea for us!) Anyways, I went downstairs to the newborn sized clothes that are in storage and pulled out the 0-3 month summer clothes, and guess what.... they totally fit her. Needless to say, I was so excited to have cute clothes that fit her! (even if they are meant for newborns!!!!)

The park

On Thursday Geoff called and invited us girls to come down and meet him for lunch at a park near the school. So... of coarse we said yes!!!! We went to the park and it was soooo fun! Macie loved it. This is the first park visit of the year. She is getting so big and is trying to climb up on things that I don't think she is big enough for, but she always does it and is fine. Addie had a great time too. She enjoyed being outside and loved watching Macie run around. Addie even tried the swings and loved them! (Macie said Addie really wanted to swing and that she needed to push her.) We all had a good time and it is ALWAYS great to see dad anytime we can!!!!!Happy girl in her car seat! Happy Easter!

Happy Easter. We had a great Easter this year!!! It was such a nice relaxing morning and a ton of fun with the girls. We tried to tell Macie the night before the true meaning of Easter. She doesn't really understand yet, but maybe that is because she doesn't sit still for longer than 2 minutes when we try to explain things to her. Oh well, one day we will get there. The new dresses and toys.

Easter Egg Hunts

This year Macie was able to participate in 4 easter egg hunts. She loved it!!!!! The first one was a city one where she was quite terrified at first and didn't know what to think, the rest were just little ones we did with some friends. It has been a lot of fun!!! She is at such a fun age and really enjoys these things.

This video is of the first easter egg hunt she went to. They counted down from 10 and then said go, so all of the kids went at the same time. Instead of running with everyone else, she had a breakdown.

*(I was not there for this one because I went to Idaho for my brother's wedding, which is why Geoff is doing the filming and Macie is crying for him at the same time.)*

WOW!!! What a busy day! She got so many eggs it is quite disgusting. Notice in these pictures that her hair is straight. She let me straighten it and it looks sooooo different. I don't really know what to think of it...but I like it better curly!

Messy Macie

Geoff and Macie were making brownies for family night and Macie really wanted to lick the spoon. So Geoff let her. Here is how messy she got in the process. She made sure that she got every last drop off of that spoon. It was pretty funny. She kept inspecting it to make sure there was nothing left.

The other morning, I was getting ready and went upstairs to go and get Addie. Macie was left downstairs watching cartoons. When I came back downstairs, She had a pen and was looking in the mirror as she colored on her face!!!! It was pretty funny. She was surely enjoying herself. I think she was trying to color a mustache.
