Restaurant time

On Thursday night the girls decided that they wanted to play restaurant. So, while I was cooking dinner, they got to work. First they had to find the tables....they decided that these pink baskets would do. Next they decided that we needed numbers and pictures on the tables so we would know where to sit. So they started coloring and cutting and drawing and taping until it looked just the way they wanted it to. When it was time for us to order Macie had a notebook and would write down what we wanted and Addie would cook it and then they would both bring it out. It was a lovely time.
 Restaurant time....
 Getting us some dessert
Addie checking out how good it all looks.
Camden decided that he wanted to join in, taking a drink out of a cup.
Then he thought, hmmm, what is this pink thing?
Now he is trying to figure out what is inside of all of those holes?
Then Macie decided that he need to go for a walk and he did not like that one bit!

6 Months

Camden is 6 months old now. Crazy! He had his checkup today and he is getting BIG! Here are his stats:

Weight: 17lbs. 12.8oz.    55%
Height: 26 1/2 in.    52%
Head:  44 cm     56%

He is very proportional. And has grown a TON since he was 4 months old. He went from being in the 25%, to the 55% for both weight and height. The Dr. was very impressed. What can I say...this boy likes to eat.

Camden,
Some things that you enjoy doing at this age are: bouncing in your johnny jump up...you love it and can't get enough of it. You have a routine of eating, playing a little bit and then you get to bounce, if this doesn't happen, then you are not very happy and you whine and complain. It makes it difficult to go anywhere. You enjoy playing on the floor and are starting to become quite the roller. You always roll onto your stomach, which you hate, and then you scream at us until we come and roll you back over. This goes on and on until you have had enough. (Usually about 10 min. max). The past few days you have been starting to roll yourself back over which has been so nice! You stay much happier when you do this. You have also been waking up at night because you find yourself on your stomach. It has not been much fun and I have started to let you cry it out. You have done much better the past few nights.
You love to play with toys and you stick everything in your mouth. Including your toes...which I love and think is sooo adorable. You play with your feet and talk to them as though they are toys. It is so cute!
You are very ticklish and this is the only time you laugh, but your laugh is so very cute and I can't help but laugh every time I hear it.
You HATE to sit up. Every time I try and feed you in your bumbo, you automatically arch your back and try and get out. As a result, you aren't very good at eating baby food. We are really trying, but you just hate to sit. We need to figure something else out because you need to start to eat more.
For nap time you still have to be wrapped up. You just don't sleep very well or long it you aren't. We have tried to get you out of it, but after 2 weeks of not good napping, I gave up and we are back to wrapping you. By the time you wake up though, you are completely out of the wrap and are eating your hands and kicking your feet around. You are like Houdini, I don't know how you get out of that thing every.single.time.
Your sisters just adore you and can't get enough of you. They are worried though for when you start to crawl. They talk about it all of the time. They are so worried about their toys and you getting into them. Macie is getting pretty good at keeping you happy and she loves it when you look at her and smile. She has even gotten you to laugh a couple of times and is convinced that you love her the most. You are such a joy in our lives and we all love you to pieces and can't imagine life without you.

Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to The Bestest Dad ever! This year I had the girls fill out a questionare about Geoff. Their answers were hilarious! Here is what they had to say:
Macie:
My dad is 29 years old
His hair is black and his eyes are blue
My dad likes to wear church clothes
He loves to eat green beans  (so funny, because he really hates green beans)
He is smart because he knows math
My dad works hard at teeth
Daddy always tells me I love you
It makes my daddy happy when I hug him
If he could go on a trip he would go to his mom and dad's house and he would take me to the mall
I really love it when my dad kisses me
If I could give my dad anything it would be  hmm....a present....a shirt or a new flash light
My favorite thing about my dad is him taking me to the park

Love Macie

Addie:
My dad is 820 years old
His hair is black and his eyes are blue?
My dad likes to wear a pink shirt
He loves to eat chicken cordon blue and rice (this is her favorite meal)
He is smart because he knows numbers
My dad works hard at work
Daddy always tells me " I'm going potty, don't bother me"
It makes my daddy happy when I color a picture for him
If he could go on a trip he would go on a mission and he would take a suitcase
I really love it when my dad gives me a hug and kiss too
If I could give my dad anything it would be his clothes or his socks
My favorite thing about my dad is he says yes when we can go to the gym

Love Addie

Then Macie did this one at church and it is too funny not to write down:

What makes dad happy?  When he plays with me
What makes dad sad?   When I'm bad
What did your dad like to do when he was a child?    play soccer
How old is your dad?   28
How tall is your dad?   41 feet
What is his favorite thing to watch on TV?   boy movies
What does your dad do when your not around?   he works and takes care of Camden
If your dad becomes famous, what would it be for?   Singing
What is your dad not very good at?  dancing
What does your dad do for his job?  works on teeth
If your dad were a cartoon character, who would it be?    nemo
What do you and your dad do together?   soccer
What does your dad love most about your mom?   cooking

(Geoff just got home from church and is reading through Macie's answers and he says: "You think that I would be famous for singing?" and then sings to Macie. She looks at him and says: "I should have switched the dancing and the singing one.") hahaha

Thanks babe for being such an amazing dad to our cute little kiddies. You are truly amazing and our kids completely adore you and can't get enough of you. You are the light of our lives and we all look forward each day to the time when you get home from work. We love you! Happy Father's Day!

Start of Summer

I have been so excited for Summer. Mostly because I don't have to worry about a schedule and waking up a sleeping baby to pick up kids. Also because Macie will be home and Addie will now a have a playmate again. WooHoo!!! Entertaining that child is soooo exhausting! We started off the Summer by making a fort in the living room. The girls are so excited that there is no bedtime and that they can sleep in a fort anytime they want instead of just on the weekends.
Here the girls are asleep inside of their fort. Macie is actually asleep, Addie is giving me a cheesy smile as she never falls asleep. Crazy kid.
Camden is hanging out with dad waiting for bath time. He was crying so I stripped him down and then he was happy. I love that he looks like he has a little toga on. I also love that he is sucking his lower lip, this is what he does when he talks sometimes. It is so cute!
A cute little smile and a lot of drool. Seriously, this kids drool is out of control!
Macie is playing with her doll house. She asked me to take a picture of her playing. I love this picture because it shows how long and beautiful her hair is. Love the natural curl!
The girls have been staying busy playing. One day they got out all of their puzzles and decided to make a puzzle store with all of them. Here they are showing me their display.
Another day the decided that it would be fun to sort all of their beads into the correct piles. This was so great. It literally took them about an hour and a half to finish. Then they decided to play with the beads and make some necklaces and bracelets. Here is Addie showing me her bling. She is such a girl.
We have also been pretty sick. The past 2 weeks have been no fun. I have had the worst cold ever and it has zapped my energy. I finally had Geoff call me in some meds and now I am feeling so much better! Here is Addie sleeping on the floor in our room. This little girl was way sick. She started off with a little cold and then started puking for 2 days and then had the worst cold ever. She was a walking disease and her poor little body couldn't handle anymore. For 2 Saturdays in a row, she took a 4 1/2 hour nap. CRAZY! She also had a fever for about 5 days. Poor little thing. Luckily she is feeling much better now and is almost all of the way better.
Then we have this little guy who started to get the same bug. He started getting a pretty good, deep cough on him and was wheezing when he breathed, so he got to have some nebulizer treatments. He HATED them. He would cry almost the entire time and by cry, I mean scream bloody murder. So sad. Luckily it just lasted a couple of days and he is now on the mend as well and doing good.

Award Ceremony

At the end of the year this year they had an awards ceremony for each grade level at Macie's school. We went to see what Macie would get and she got the award of "Math Problem Solver". Geoff is so proud. He asks her math questions all of the time and makes sure she knows what she is talking about. HAHA.
Here she is getting the certificate from the Assistant Principle.
Say cheese. She looks so excited!

Loving Life

The past few weeks have been super busy. Mostly because Geoff and I went out of town for a business trip and then I left 2 days later to go up to Idaho for 5 days to spend some time with my family because my brother got married, my sister graduated from high school and we had a baby shower for my sister in law. It was a fun, but very busy trip. I only took Camden with me, which was nice, but the girls were devastated that they didn't get to go. Anyways, here are a few random pics of some things that we have been up to.
Addie got in trouble one night and was sent to time out. She must have been exhausted because while there, she totally fell asleep. (It was bedtime though, so it was actually nice.)
Here is the rest of the clan hanging out together and playing while Addie was in time out sleeping.
The girls were posing on my bed  one day and asked me to take a picture of them. In the process, they fell over and I was able to capture it all! Saying Cheese!
 Oh no!! Falling over!
Laughing hysterically at what just happened.
Helping each other up! They sure do know how to have fun together and love each other so much! However, they also fight their fair share as well!

Johnny Jump Up

This little guy LOVES the Johnny Jump Up. It is truly a life saver! It is the only way I get anything done!!! He is getting really good at bouncing in it and can control the thing to go wherever he wants it to go. It is pretty cute!

Fort Worth Stock Yards

Geoff's parents came into town last week. They were here right in time for Macie's birthday. We had a day for shopping and a day for sight seeing. It was a fun time. For the sight seeing we decided on the Fort Worth Stockyards and the US dollar mint.
You couldn't take pictures at the mint, so all that we have is the stockyards, but the mint was so very interesting! It was so fun to see how the dollar bills are made!
The Stockyards were fun. It was like being back in the good ole' Western days. The roads were all cobblestone and there were real cowboys and people on horses. Everyday at 11:30 and 4:00 they walk the longhorns through the street. Weird, but kind of fun to see. We got there a few minutes early so we had time to walk around a bit and pet some of the horses. Then at 11:30 on the dot, the cattle came down the street. It only took about 5 minutes and it was over. The girls really enjoyed it though.
 Petting the horses.
 The girls and their dad
They got tired of walking around. So the stroller came in handy. Addie would have stayed in that thing all day and played. She loved it.
 Grandpa Barnum and the kids.
 Here come the cattle.
The one with the bell is the leader. I am not sure how many there were...maybe 15? The girls were impressed with how long the horns were on some of the cows.

Macie's Birthday!

On Saturday, Macie turned 6!!!!! CRAZY!!! She has been waiting for this day for a long time! For the past few months I have been hearing her say : "when is it going to be my birthday?", "Everyone in my class is already 6, I am the only one that is still 5!", "Is Tony 6, is Halle 6, is Trevor 6?", and so on.... She was so excited that her birthday week was finally here! She made sure to tell everyone she knew that it was her birthday on Saturday and even reminded us a few times that when she woke up on Saturday, that we needed to tell her happy birthday right when she woke up! She definitely had a vision of what she wanted and thought her birthday should be and what everyone should say or do and we heard all about it!
Here we are singing Happy Birthday (We sang it in Korean). She doesn't like cake and chose to go out for ice cream, so we improvised and put the candles in the breadsticks.
Blowing out the candles. They started to fall over, so grandpa is assisting in keeping them up and going.  Apparently candles don't do well in bread. That breadstick was full of wax and the bottom of the candles were completely gone.
She had a wonderful birthday and told me several times throughout the day that it was the "best birthday ever!" It was a very busy day. We started out the day with her soccer games. She had 2 right in a row. After the first one she was sooo ready to be done, but we told her she had to keep playing. After the soccer games, we went home and changed into swimming suits because the girls had a birthday swimming party to go to for a friend. After the swimming party, Macie was exhausted!! We ended up leaving a little early because she was so tired and just wanted to go home. We got home and set up a scavenger hunt for her to find her presents. (We did this because she got a new bike and it was hiding in our closet). When we told her what she was going to have to do to find her presents, she was sooooo excited! I am pretty sure that she loved the scavenger hunt even more then her bike! When she found her bike, she had zero reaction and was like.."a bike?" (made me want to take it back! HA!) She then opened the rest of her presents and loved them. She has not stopped playing with them for the past week. She has also been GREAT about sharing her new toys with Addie. After presents, we took her to the store to choose out one more from my mom and dad (they gave her money for a toy) and then came home and had her favorite dinner (chicken sauce with noodles), and then met my aunt Ann and Uncle Byron for ice cream. It was such a busy day and the kids were all asleep by 8:00 that night!
Here she is finding her first clue/gift. It is a frisbee!!
Her second clue sent her to the fridge. She spent a little bit of time here saying she couldn't find her gift. It was just sitting on a shelf. I guess she thought it would be in the door or something.
The next clue sent her to the "hut" in their room.
This one told her to go to the place where she plays school. She ran straight to the toy room and thought that it was so funny!
Then she was told to go the place where mom does the laundry. She looked and said "really mom?!"
It was FINALLY time to open all of the presents. She is sooo excited!
Here she is with her gift from Grandpa and Grandma Barnum. She got a lego set and she is studying it to see what it is.

Happy Birthday Macie! We sure love you and think that you are pretty special!

Puzzles

Sunday afternoon the girls decided to pull out some puzzles. They LOVE puzzles and so do I. If they are working on a puzzle together they will each hold their piece and just wait for the other to put their piece in so they can be the last one. It is something that they started out of the blue Geoff finds it annoying and always says to me "I wonder where they get this from....". I find it hilarious because when I was growing up and we would do those big 1000 piece puzzles, I would always take a piece and hide it away until the puzzle was almost done and then I would pull it out as everyone was looking on the floor or in the box for the last missing piece and I would slyly put it in its spot. I loved doing that every. single.time!
This is the Hello Kitty puzzle that Macie got for christmas. And of coarse, once Addie saw what Macie was doing, she had to do her own as well. This was all her idea. She asked me take a picture of her and Hello Kitty holding hands.Addie with her little doggie puzzle. Goofy kids!
