Wheel of Fortune!!!!

So- every night we watch the Wheel as a family- it has sort of become tradition. Macie loves it! She askes to watch the Wheel every night and when Pat and Vana walk out- she always says Hi Pat- Hi Vana!
This is Macie watching the Wheel of Fortune- She gets WAY into it!! It is sooooo funny! Geoff and I just sit there and laugh the whole time we are watching it. So- we thought that you might get a kick out of it too!! If you listen closely- you can hear repeating Pat (aka there are 3 i's, 4 a's).

And this is Addie during the Wheel- let's just say complete opposite!!!

mom's name

Tonight Geoff and Macie were playing. Macie decided that she needed a snack and said to Geoff:
"daddy, I go ask mommy for a snack" she then comes to the bottom of the stairs and yells up to me "Becky, Becky, I want a snack queeze, Becky, Becky, I want a snack." Geoff and I were both laughing so hard that neither one of us could respond. So, when I wasn't responding she decided to switch what she was saying "mommy, mommy, snack queeze." (queeze=please)
Kids are so darn observant. It is so funny how she knows that my name is Becky at a such a young age- she just never ceases to amaze me with the things that she knows and picks up on.

Another funny story about Macie- we were in the mall the other day and she saw an older couple walking in front of us. She points to them and shouts "hi grandma, hi papa!!!" and when I say older- I mean gray hair, 70's-90's older. The worst was that she doesn't stop yelling it until they respond, no matter how hard I try and shoosh her. It was pretty embarassing. The funniest part about this is that both Geoff's and I's parents are not old or old looking. Whatever- now whenever she sees an older person- she says that!

Addie

Addie had her 2 month appointment today. She is still just tiny!!! She only weighs 8 lbs. 4 oz.
She is still wearing size newborn clothes and she is 2 months old!! I have so many cute clothes that I am just wanting her to wear, but alas, winter will be here before we can get to them. Oh well. She is now smiling and cooing and is getting alot happier.

Stories

Today while I was getting ready I hear Macie singing. So I go to look in on her and this is what I hear "Macie shy, Macie shy, Macie shy, YEAH GOOD SINGING!!!!!!" She is so funny! I think that my favorite part about this is that she is nothing close to being shy!!!!

Also yesterday- Addie was crying while I was getting Macie out of the car. So Macie looks at her and says "it's ok baby Gaddie, mommy's coming, just a minute."
The things she says to her are just so cute! I am glad that she is such a good big sister.

a week in pictures

OK- so it has been a busy week- yet it seems like not a lot is going on! Does that make any sense?!! Anyways- here are a few pictures from the past week of the girls.

Macie's newest thing is that she loves to wear Geoff's hats!! So here she is thinking that she is pretty cool going on a walk!
Does it seem like you never see a picture of her happy? It's because this is what she does unless she is eating!!!!!!!This is what Macie does when Addie wakes up and she hears her crying and I quote "oh, baby Gaddie (yes that is what she calls her) wake up, stay there mom k, I go get her!!!!!"
me: ok- let me stay here so you can go and throw toys at her while she is in her crib- please can I?!!!! (ok- I don't say this- but I think this!!!) (notice the ball in Macie's hand)
It is really cute and she just loves baby Gaddie to pieces- but you can't be to careful when you have a two year old in the house!!!

Addelyn's Blessing

Today Addelyn was blessed. She looked so cute in the dress, even though it was huge on her. Geoff did a great job blessing her and Addelyn didn't cry at all (which is suprising because she was awake, and when she is awake, that is all she does), Macie didn't scream and cry for dad when Geoff got up (only because I pawned her off to friends that were sitting in front of us and she didn't notice that Geoff had left). So all in all it was a success and it was a very beautiful blessing. Thanks to all of our friends for being our family out here, since none of ours could make it!! You guys are the best!!

Macie not wanting to take any pictures!!! I have a few of her throwing a fit, but I will spare you the bad ones and show you the good ones!

A day in life of Macie

Macie has been quite the handful lately. As in, she is doing everything she knows she is not supposed to and she is doing it all on purpose. (I only know it is on purpose because she looks at you while she does it just waiting for a reaction.) It is great...NOT!!! Anyways- yesterday I decided it was because she needs more attention from me- so I spent the day doing anything and everything that would be fun for Macie. So here is our day in pictures: We started our day off at the park- then came home and we had craft time, painted, and played with play-doh (I have never let Macie play with play-doh at our house and when I pulled it out she said "oh thanks mom for the play-doh" over and over again. It was pretty funny.

Painting in her book

Playing in the rain with the umbrella.

Making funny faces

Playing the piano with her friend Cole.

We also set up a tent and attached a tunnel to it and played play-doh again when Cole came over. All in all it was a fun filled day with a pretty happy little girl, who acted like the Macie that I know.

Not so innocent

There are some things that I tell Macie that I think will never sink in- I think that way because she doesn't ever apply what I am telling her , so she must not understand. Right?!! Well, in the past few days my eyes have been opened and I realize that she really DOES understand EVERYTHING i am trying to teach her, she just chooses not to apply it! (yes she is only 2!)

Example #1: We are getting ready to go to a friends house to play and Macie is walking down the stairs saying "mommy says be nice, share toys" (which I say everytime before we play with a friend) then she procedes to have a converstation with herself about sharing saying "here you go Cole, you can have the football" (with arm extended).

Why this is funny: she NEVER shares her toys with anyone no matter how hard I try to teach her that concept.

Example #2: She is playing with a babydoll and I hear her saying (in a normal voice) "we are going to church baby, bread and water, (whispering now) shhhh, quiet, no talking baby, bread and water.

Why this is funny: she NEVER whispers in church no matter how often I tell her to- it just doesn't happen!!

Example #3: Once again, she is playing with her dolls in the toy room, I hear her say "no baby, no spill juice, that's not nice. You go to time out now, ok baby, to time out." She then comes to me and asks me to bring out the naughty stool so she can place her baby there.

Why this is funny: This is the #1 thing that she goes to time out for. If we leave her in the kitchen with a glass of juice, she will almost always poor it out on purpose and start splashing in it, so it gets everywhere. I wasn't quite sure if she understood that this was bad because she does it so much- but now I know.

I could go on and on of the things that I thought she didn't understand- but alas- she understands everything! What am I going to do with her??!!!!
