an update!

Sorry it has been so long!!! There is just nothing going on. So.....here is an update on what the girls have been up to:
We are starting to realize that Macie is getting my OCDness. It is quite sad, but funny at the same time. Some examples include: In our fridge there is a spot for Geoff's yogurt and my yogurt and they are always separate, Macie has picked up on this some how and now LOVES (or demands) to put the yogurt away when we come home from the store. She will check each one and put it in its appropriate place. (and no- I didn't teach her or tell her to do it that way!)
When coloring, she is only allowed to use each color once (or so it seems). She will use the color, then put it on the other side of the table and when each color is on the same side of the table, she is done. Then, when she puts the crayons away they all MUST be facing the same way or we have a fit on our hands. (I definitely didn't teach her the first one, but I might have the second). When she picks up her toys, she is very particular about where each one goes. They all have a basket and a place and when she is in the mood, she will actually do a great job of cleaning everything up to my standards!!! It is GREAT!!!!!
Addie is growing and loving baby food. She is doing really well with it and I think would eat it all of the time if she could. She isn't doing a whole lot more than that- she doesn't sit up, roll over, or crawl. She doesn't like the bouncer, the swing, or the bumbo (unless she is eating). Really the only thing she likes is to lay on the floor with toys (but only if you are in the room with her) or to be held. She is becoming a pretty easy baby. She sleeps really well and is pretty happy for the most part.
Macie is really starting to enjoy Addie. She is finally realizing that there is another person around and likes to now play with her. She loves to try and hold her and give her toys when she is sad. The other day Macie came to me and said "mommy, baby Addie rolled over, come see" So I go in the other room and Addie was on her stomach. Macie reaches down and rolls her over and said "see mom, she rolled over!"
Sorry for the randomness- just thought that I would update with a few things that I want to remember.

I love the ocd stuff! I wish my kids would catch on to my ocd!! I love having the fridge a certain way everything has a certain place and it is always like that...but they haven't figured that one out yet! So funny and I love the crayon thing I bet she will be your neat girl who is always organized!

Becky...I remember how neat and clean you were. It always worked to my benefit when you would babysit my kids and we would come home to a completely clean and newly organized toy room. You were the BEST!!! A little OCD doesn't hurt now and then.

I know what you mean about the OCD thing. I have it bad too and my little boy does too. Funny most of the time but others not.
