4th of July

Happy 4th of July! This year we stayed pretty busy enjoying the nice hot weather. It was the first year we didn't go camping for the 4th and it was the first year it didn't rain!! Go figure! Anyways, We spent the whole weekend celebrating. On Saturday we went to a parade. On Sunday, we were going to go to fireworks, but Macie chickened out and we decided that it wasn't worth going just so we could listen to her cry the whole time, so we skipped them. On Monday we headed out to the beach and then had a bbq at our house. So fun!!

Macie was terrified to do the sparklers in the beginning, but she eventually warmed up. Here she is in all of her excitement telling me "look mom, I'm doing it!!"Both girls doing their sparklers. Even though Addie looks disgusted with Macie's sparkler, I am pretty sure that she isn't. This is just a classic Addie face. (Although I am sure that something happened to make her look like this.)Geoff and I. We both had sparklers ready for some child to take them, but then no one wanted them, so we got to do them ourselves!! Ahh, the childhood memories just came flooding back!
