Last night the girls decided to have a "glitter party". Geoff and I did not know about said "glitter party". The girls were playing really well last night in their room and all I could think was, wow..they are playing so nicely. Jump forward about 1/2 hour later and them coming downstairs because they were fighting over a toy...and that it is when I noticed that they both had glitter in their hair. At first it didn't register and then I thought "something is not right here," so, I asked Macie why they both have glitter on them and this was my answer "because we were playing glitter upstairs!" So Geoff and I go upstairs to see what she is talking about and I think I almost cried when I saw the mess. (note to moms out there who think that buying glitter is a good idea...it's not!! Don't do it!! Buy crayons instead!) It took Geoff and I about 45 minutes to clean their room. There was glitter EVERYWHERE!!! I dont' think that I have ever swept and vacuumed so much within a 12 hour period. Everytime I go upstairs I see more glitter!!! Ahhh!! I am sure that this will be happening for a few weeks.
It was a total of 2 small containers of glitter and a bunch of sequins as well. We have had several talks with Macie lately about getting into the craft stuff and I thought that she had learned her lesson the last time, because I packed up half of the craft stuff because she kept getting into it and wouldn't listen..apparently it didn't seek in. So, today I packed up everything that has to do with crafting and told her that we were all done until she can learn to listen. I guess we will see if this makes a difference or not. I am sure that she will just move onto getting into something else.
My only regret about this whole thing is that I don't have a picture. I don't know what I was thinking! It would have been so much better with picture proof. I think that I was to upset to think about it.

Oh my goodness - crazy girls! My dad had a STRICT no glitter rule. Now I understand - it gets everywhere and is so hard to clean up. Oh well, at least they'll remember the fun they had at their little party.
Oh man!! I am so sorry!! What a headache. Good thing they are such cute girls :)!!!
