The first of Dallas

We moved out here rather quickly and did not have a place yet...luckily, I have an aunt who lives here and we were able to stay with her for the week while we found a house and waited to move in. It was a fun week. She was constantly trying to find fun stuff for us to do!! Here are a few of the things that we got done before it was moving day.We stopped by downtown Grapevine. They had a train and some really neat little stores. We got there a little early and had to wait for some of the things to open. Here we are waiting for the glass blowing to open so we could go and watch.Next stop was the lake. They don't really have any good beaches here...LAME!! But the girls enjoyed the water anyways. This is Macie pointing to a boat out in the water. Here is Addie and my Aunt Ann. They are finding rocks!
This one is very random, but Geoff went in to check on the girls one night and found this...Addie has her foot right in Macie's face! Looks comfy no?!!My dad came down here to help us move in, which was a huge help!! thanks Dad!! While he was here we thought that we would check out the Zoo. We had the coolest experience with a Gorilla while we were there. We went to look through this glass window and the Gorilla noticed us and came right over to us, sat down right next to the window and just looked at us. He looked so nice and sad that he was in there. The girls thought that it was pretty cool and so did we!!!Here is the Gorilla looking right at my dad. Crazy that all there was between us is this peice of glass. We literally could have touched him. It was sooooo cool!!Macie and my dad taking one last look at him. He seriously had the saddest looking eyes. You just wanted to give him a hug and set him free. It was a fun trip to the zoo even though it was blazing hot!!
