Addie Kindergarten Program

Addie is in Kindergarten this year. She is a smart little girl who probably could have skipped Kindergarten all together and been ok. Addie went to the neighborhood school this year called Frazier Elementary. She was able to walk to school everyday with the kids from the neighborhood. She really enjoyed it. At the end of the year they had a Kindergarten Program and an awards ceremony.
Here she is the singing program.
Addie and her teacher Mrs. Peirrard.
 Addie getting her first award.
She is such a good little girl, she actually got quite a few awards and was up there a lot. We are very proud of her.

Circus Show

Macie is at a Fine Arts School this year called TeSA. She is everything fine arts and has LOVED being at this school. At the end of the year, they get to put on a big musical production. The grades involved in her show this year were K-2. So her class was the oldest group. It was so fun to be able to go and watch something she had worked so hard on. She tried out for a few solo's and got 3 of them. I may have teared up a little each time she sang. Geoff and I also may have been shaking before each one with nerves. We were seriously soooo nervous for her it was pretty funny. She did amazing though and we are so proud of her for being able to go on stage in the 2nd grade in front of an auditorium filled with people and not be nervous at all.

Macie and Loren, her BFF after the show.
We are also lucky to have family that live so close to us and love our girls and come out to support them. It was a fun night.

Making Cookies

We came home from church last Sunday and the kids really wanted to make some cookies. So away we went. When I said "sure" I didn't think that every single kid would want up to "help" make them. Luckily we have a big enough counter to hold them all and there was no fighting or pushing for a spot.
The best part of making cookies for the kids is that every single time they each get some chocolate chips and they each get a ball of dough. I feel like I am feeding seagulls at the beach when this happens. But I wouldn't have it any other way. Love these kids and am so glad they keep me on my toes.

Macie's 8th Birthday

Macie turned 8 on May 5th. It was such a fun day. 8 is such a magical birthday knowing that it means you will be baptized. Macie is a beautiful young lady who amazes me everyday with her desire to choose the right. For her 8th birthday she got to have a party. She chose to invite friends from school.  She had 6 friends come and we had a water party outside.
We did the usual treasure hunt for presents. This year was more fun than in the past because we were able to make the clues a lot harder.
And because she turned 8 Grandma and Grandpa Bradley bought her her very own Book of Mormon/Bible combination. She was soooo excited. The picture says it all.
She also got a CTR necklace from mom and dad, which she was also super happy for.
Macie was so fun this year. I love all of the pictures. They show how truly happy she was for every single gift.
 All of the presents.
She chose to have an ice cream cup for her "cake", because she was having a party in a few days with the real cake.
 The party group!
 The fun outside water games.
The ice cream cake being delivered....
And the singing and blowing out of candles.
It was a fun filled party week for our little 8 year old. Happy birthday Macie!! We love you tons and tons!!!!

Easter 2014

Easter this year was great. We were able to go to Ann and Byron's for the usual Easter Egg hunt which is always fun and special. We are sooo grateful to have family that lives near us.
Addie reaching hard to find an egg at Ann's house.
Camden trying to figure out how to open the egg in his basket.
Macie racing to grab the egg she see's.
Brynlee figuring out what you are supposed to do....
And shaking them like toys! HA.
Our sweet Ann and Byron. We love them so much!! They are the best aunt and uncle/grandparents.

Easter morning:
This year the Easter Bunny brought some fun outside toys for all of the kids to share. He also hid the kids Easter baskets and left them each a trail of eggs to find them.

Addie found her basket. She thought it was pretty funny.

Brynlee is checking out what is in her basket.
Brynlee loving her cute dogs that she got in her basket.
I don't have a picture of Camden. All he was doing was crying and throwing fits, so we let him be for awhile.

I also decided to have them all put their dresses on and we would go out back and take some pics of everyone.
 Here is my sweet Addie
 And Beautiful miss Macie
 And my crazy little Camden
 and my sassy little Brynlee.

And all of our Beauties together. Love them soooo much!!!

Flying Kites

Macie's class this year ordered kites that the kids got to make and design themselves. They set a date to fly the kites and invited parents to come watch. Addie had the day off of school so we headed up to see Macie and her friends fly their kites. It was fun to go and see all of these kites flying and to be able to see the different designs from all of the kids.
 Flying kites in the field.
The kites were super easy to get up and to fly. It was pretty funny when Macie just sat down and her kite stayed up in the air with no effort at all.
Macie and her 2 bff's Loren, and Skyla flying their kites.
Camden even got a turn and was able to fly it with no problems.
It was super fun and we were all glad we went.

A Beautiful Day

Monday was an absolutely beautiful day. Addie was at dance, so in between dropping her off and picking her up, we decided to play outside. I pulled out the camera and snapped a few shots of the kids.
The many faces of Brynlee....this little girl was the BEST baby. She is turning into the most SPICY little toddler though. Her face is very expressive and you ALWAYS know how she is feeling just by looking at her face. Most of these she is crying or complaining that she is not getting what she wants, but in the far right picture on the bottom, she is saying "chee".
Macie is getting so big. She is so much fun..most of the time. She and Brynn are saying cheese for the camera.
Camden is still 110% all boy. He decided that he wanted to learn to ride the razor, so after doing a few times with Geoff holding on, he was off on his own. We are now looking into buying him his own because he is ALWAYS fighting with the girls to use theirs.
Macie was playing some game on her bike and this was all of the stuff that she needed.
This guy loves to climb on our front porch. He will climb up and down this ledge over and over and over running and trying to jump and whatever else he can think of to do on it. Crazy kid. I am just waiting for the 2nd broken leg to hit with this guy.
Macie thought it was hot out, so she had her umbrella out for shade. Brynlee and Camden loved to be under it with her.
Here is Macie being a little crazy for the camera.

Cowtown 5k

Back in December, Macie's school sent home a little note telling us about a 5k that the kids could run in as a school. The race was called the Cowtown 5k and would be held in downtown Fort Worth. We asked her if she would like to run it and she said sure. So we signed her up, paid the $7 fee and didn't think about it. She came home one day in January with a new pair of tennis shoes. She said that the school had won a grant from Sketchers for the race and every kid running the race got a free pair of tennis shoes. They had people come to school and size the kids feet and then would grab a pair of shoes and hand them to the kid. Super cool!!
When February came she was almost ready to race, besides the fact that she hadn't practiced much. The morning of the race came and Geoff her in nice and early. The kids and I showed up right as they were starting the race. We found a spot along the coarse and waited, and waited, and waited some more. Geoff was able to run with her so he was keeping us posted on where they were. About an hour later, they came rounding one of the final corners and we were able to get a shot of them running and cheer them on to the finish. It was a very fun experience for her and she says she can't wait to do it again!!
Macie, with her number before leaving for the race.
Here she is running towards us.
And running past us. We were super blessed that it was an absolutely beautiful day.
