Easter this year was great. We were able to go to Ann and Byron's for the usual Easter Egg hunt which is always fun and special. We are sooo grateful to have family that lives near us.

I don't have a picture of Camden. All he was doing was crying and throwing fits, so we let him be for awhile.
I also decided to have them all put their dresses on and we would go out back and take some pics of everyone.

Flying Kites
Macie's class this year ordered kites that the kids got to make and design themselves. They set a date to fly the kites and invited parents to come watch. Addie had the day off of school so we headed up to see Macie and her friends fly their kites. It was fun to go and see all of these kites flying and to be able to see the different designs from all of the kids.
Flying kites in the field.
The kites were super easy to get up and to fly. It was pretty funny when Macie just sat down and her kite stayed up in the air with no effort at all.
Macie and her 2 bff's Loren, and Skyla flying their kites.
Camden even got a turn and was able to fly it with no problems.
It was super fun and we were all glad we went.

A Beautiful Day
Monday was an absolutely beautiful day. Addie was at dance, so in between dropping her off and picking her up, we decided to play outside. I pulled out the camera and snapped a few shots of the kids.
The many faces of Brynlee....this little girl was the BEST baby. She is turning into the most SPICY little toddler though. Her face is very expressive and you ALWAYS know how she is feeling just by looking at her face. Most of these she is crying or complaining that she is not getting what she wants, but in the far right picture on the bottom, she is saying "chee".Macie is getting so big. She is so much fun..most of the time. She and Brynn are saying cheese for the camera.
Camden is still 110% all boy. He decided that he wanted to learn to ride the razor, so after doing a few times with Geoff holding on, he was off on his own. We are now looking into buying him his own because he is ALWAYS fighting with the girls to use theirs.
Macie was playing some game on her bike and this was all of the stuff that she needed.
This guy loves to climb on our front porch. He will climb up and down this ledge over and over and over running and trying to jump and whatever else he can think of to do on it. Crazy kid. I am just waiting for the 2nd broken leg to hit with this guy.
Macie thought it was hot out, so she had her umbrella out for shade. Brynlee and Camden loved to be under it with her.
Here is Macie being a little crazy for the camera.

Cowtown 5k
Back in December, Macie's school sent home a little note telling us about a 5k that the kids could run in as a school. The race was called the Cowtown 5k and would be held in downtown Fort Worth. We asked her if she would like to run it and she said sure. So we signed her up, paid the $7 fee and didn't think about it. She came home one day in January with a new pair of tennis shoes. She said that the school had won a grant from Sketchers for the race and every kid running the race got a free pair of tennis shoes. They had people come to school and size the kids feet and then would grab a pair of shoes and hand them to the kid. Super cool!!
When February came she was almost ready to race, besides the fact that she hadn't practiced much. The morning of the race came and Geoff her in nice and early. The kids and I showed up right as they were starting the race. We found a spot along the coarse and waited, and waited, and waited some more. Geoff was able to run with her so he was keeping us posted on where they were. About an hour later, they came rounding one of the final corners and we were able to get a shot of them running and cheer them on to the finish. It was a very fun experience for her and she says she can't wait to do it again!!
Macie, with her number before leaving for the race. Here she is running towards us.
And running past us. We were super blessed that it was an absolutely beautiful day.

Macie's class project
Every six weeks Macie has a class project that she has to do. This 6 weeks it was a made up bug that had to include a normal bugs body parts. So we went to work. She called her bug Guide Glow because his 12 eyes could glow. He ate his food like an anteater sucking it up through his vacuum mouth. She had a lot of fun making this and was really excited to present it to the class.

New Years Eve
New Years Eve 2013. We decided to have a party this year for New Years. The kids did their party around 5:30 and rang in the new year around 7. We tried to do a photo booth, but I didn't make the backdrop big enough. Now I guess I know for next time.
The kids posing with the accessories. Brynlee kept trying to escape so Macie tried to hold in her place. She was starting to get pretty mad in this picture.
The girls and their friends. Macie, Emma, Addie, Clair. They all have their American Girl Dolls as well.
Later in the evening we hosted an adult party. It was soooo fun. We had some appetizers and fondue, and then played some games. We also took pictures, but for some reason I can't find them anywhere. Here is one of Geoff and I when the party was all said and done.

The month of December
We went to the Chinese Lantern Festival with my aunt and uncle. It was very interesting and pretty cool. This is a castle made completely out of plates, cups, and silverware. Pretty crazy.
This is the ice storm we got in early December that closed the city down for 6 days.
Little Brynlee watching the kids and dad play outside in the snow.
After a long day of playing in the snow, Macie came inside to lay down and warm up and Camden wanted to lay with her. Here they are "sleeping" together.
I got a phone call from Addie's school one day saying that she had a "fever" of 99.3 and that I needed to come and pick her up and that she wouldn't be allowed to come to school the next day either because they have to be fever free for 24 hours. She wasn't even sick. I mean, she a had a little cold, but nothing that should keep a child home from school. She was totally fine and normal and really had no "fever". So the next day we went to the children's museum and played with my "sick" little girl.
For Christmas Macie wants this doll bed. Geoff and I said to ourselves, "we can make that for around $10." So we did. The one on the left is the picture of the bed in the magazine. The one on the right is the one we made for her. We chose to do it in her favorite colors and a fabric that matched her personality. It is perfect and I am so excited to see her reaction!!
My brother and his wife came into town for Christmas. We went to Downtown Ft. Worth with them to check out the decorations and see the Santa toy land that they had all set up. It was fun. Here are the kids by some of the décor.
Our reindeer Nelsie that comes to visit us each year. This was her last day here and she decided to zipline it from the toy room to the kitchen.
This sweet little girl was all worn out after church one Sunday. She fell fast asleep in the 5 minute drive home from church. Love this girl.
