Merry Christmas

So here are a few videos of our christmas morning. These are mostly for our families to see. The first one is of Addie on her rocking horse. She loves it. The second one is of Macie getting her new car seat. Before Christmas she was super excited for a new carseat, so we ordered one, got it way before christmas and decided to wrap it and give it to her as a gift because she was soooo excited for a new big girl carseat.

haha. looks like we were wrong!!! She was pretty upset and went all the way up to her room to pout. We were laughing so hard. We didn't know what to do. It was pretty funny. Oh, and she now LOVES her new car seat!! :)

Winter time fun

So we have been busy the last few days. Geoff has been home, no school for Macie and lots of free time = doing stuff as a family!!! So...here is what we have been up to. First we actually got our first snow of the season. It's not alot, but it was enough to actually go out and play in! Here are some pics of the girls in the sled, decorating the snow with colored water, and throwing snowballs.Macie coloring the snow

Then we got together with some friends to make some gingerbread houses!!! FUN!!! Here are all of the adults making our houses.Geoff's finished house. He decided to go different. After the second story fell apart, he decided to add this chimney instead. My finished house. I learned from this that I am not very creative. It was all I could do to come up with this little house. LAME!!But then I thought that I redeemed myself with this little ice pond and my ice skater. (Geoff made me the ice skater).

While the adults were making houses, Macie was playing with Jack. She came downstairs at when we cleaning up and was sad that she didn't get to make one. So, I told her that we would make her one at home. Here she is making her road. She kept saying that she just wanted to make a princess castle. The whole time we were trying to make her house all she kept saying was "can eat that candy?" I am pretty sure that she ate more than she actually put on the house. :) Here she is with the finished house.

Santa's Reindeer

On Friday we had a little visitor during lunch. We were sitting at the table and I see something outside out of the corner of my eye, so I look up and what do I see....a "reindeer" looking at me!!! Yes, we had one of "Santa's reindeer" as Macie would put it, in our front yard eating our grass. It was pretty fun. It looked right at us and then just kept on eating. It started walking away and another one came from our backyard and joined it. It was pretty cool.
So, I thought that I would use this as an excuse to give the girls a present. You see, we were going to be making all of the Christmas treats to give to our neighbors after lunch and I really wanted the girls to have their aprons when we made them, so....I took them out from under the tree (without the girls seeing) and I placed them on the porch. I then said to Macie:
"do you think that maybe the reindeer left us a present from Santa?"
her: "ya!!! Let's go see"
So we opened the front door and there were 3 presents sitting on our porch. She grabbed them excitedly and yelled to the reindeer "thank you reindeer!" It was pretty stinkin' cute. So then we headed inside to open them. They were sooo excited. She still tells the story and I love to hear it. (Mostly because I am still shocked at the geniousious of myself! :) ) I am soo happy that I did it this way. I feel like if she would have opened it on Christmas morning than she wouldn't have been very excited, but this way, she was thrilled, and she loves to wear it!!

School Concert

Macie had a school winter concert this past week. They got to sing on a stage and then decorate cookies afterwards. It was so cute to see her up there singing. She did a great job with the actions and everything. I have a video of it, but I can't get it to load, so you can have some pictures for now.
Say Cheese!!
Waiting to start
Decorating cookies afterwards. Look at that Bradley tongue sticking out there!!! hehe!!

Messy Fish

Today after lunch the girls were in the dining room having those little orange peppridge farm fish for a snack. I was in the kitchen hanging up wreaths. Geoff calls and as I am talking to him, I walk into the dining room just in time to see Macie dumping out the entire bag of fish onto the floor. (it was a brand new bag so there were a lot of fish). She said she did this because Addie wanted some. Well, they started playing in the fish and they were having such a good time that I just let them play. For those of you who know me, this is not something that I would normally be ok with, but I really wanted to finish hanging up my wreaths and they were having such a good time, so I decided that it was a good comprimise as long as they just stayed in the dining room, which they did. So.... I got my stuff done, they had a party with fish, and we were all happy in the end. Now if this would have happened yesterday.....the happiness of it all would not have happened!!!!! Here are some pictures of the huge mess for your enjoyment. The fish that started the whole thing!!!

See all of those little specs...ya, it was a huge mess!!!Here they are playing in it! They were laughing so hard and having such a good time, it was just too hard to stop them!! :)Going through the chairs.

When I was cleaning the mess up I was sniffling because I have a runny nose and Macie says "Mommy, are you crying?" she must have been really worried that she was going to get into trouble. Too cute!

Great Wolf Lodge

During Thanksgiving break we decided to head out to Great Wolf Lodge. It is a hotel with swimming pools and slides. It is a lot of fun. We headed out Monday and got home on Tuesday. Monday night was probably the worst night Addie has ever had. She did not sleep at all. I ended up taking her to the car at around 2:00 am because she wouldn't go to sleep she just kept talking in the pack and play. It was aweful!!!! On tuesday she was ok, but pretty awnry because of the lack of sleep. We came home and they slept like angels for the next 3 days. It was a lot of fun, but exhausting. Here are some pics of the trip. Here is Macie plugging her ears because she thought that it was too noisy.Addie getting warmed up to the fountains.Macie at the top of a slide.Macie going down the slideAddie playing
Addie going down the slide. She really did like it, this picture just shows what she would do when the water hit her. Too funny.

We were all in the living room the other night playing around and started to try and get a family pic of all of us. It was pretty tricky, but way funny. I love these next pictures. Notice the changes in the girls faces. Too funny.
We finally did it!!!

Apron

So, I decided for Christmas that I would make all of the girls aprons. I don't have a picture of all of us yet, but here is Addie's little apron. It is soooo cute on her just because it is sooo small. She loves it, and so will Macie!!

noodles and wii

While having spagettii the other night for dinner, a noodle fell and landed on Macie's arm. She thought that this was the funniest thing ever and said "mom, go get the camera and take a picture this is so cool!" So, here you have it, a picture of the noodle that fell on Macie's arm.
Macie's new favorite thing to do is play the wii. She thinks that it is super fun. So here she is doing her pushups.
Notice the bum crack. This is a constant thing that she likes to show off. I don't know how to fix it, Her pants are as tight as they can go and seriously, somehow, that crack always finds a way to say hello.
